I'm really struggling here!! I have the ideas the music the people I just need help with the filming/editing. I have posted before and received great ideas to help me get through this site however I need some help getting started... ANY IDEAS???? :-)

If you want help you are going to have to be more specific. What problems in particular are you having. Explain.

I just need someone to film and edit... I have music I have people lined up.... I want to film a documentary on military families... the ones I believe are the backbone of the military. I am a military spouse and have worked closely with others and help start programs for the spouses and I want people to see what we go through!! The housing we have had to live in, the rejection we get etc. the parents and relatives we live behind . I could go on! anyhow... sorry i feeel deeply about it.... I just need someone to come with me on this journey and who feels just as passionate as i to put this documentary out there. I have been told to look for grants. Has anyone tried this?

So what you need is for someone to physically film it and edit it? In that case i'm of no help because I live in NY. Try posting something in the paper, that's all I can think of.

I am doing a lot of interviews in Jersey and plan to do a few in North Jersey as well. I have a few places I need to go to. Although I am a marine wife I know a lot of army and air force wives. So I will do some traveling. I need someone who is willing to travel. When I say I have a passion for this "doc" I am willing to sacrafice a lot!! :-)

I dont think you are going to get any grants/support until you thow up some solid planning docs of some kind. You will really need some proof of concept going before anyone will fund it, thats for sure. So work on that first, since you know what you are going to do, write it out and go from there. I think people will be more inclined to jump on board if the direction is clear.

You need to create a proposal and a treatment and a good road to look into may be to look to your local television station if you have one for help, if not maybe a local college with a film program, just try to exhaust any local resources you can and have plans to present to people because if you have no plans for this nobodys going to help you.
