I live in burbank and if you wanna find a place for 700 its gonna have to be ghetto. while i went to Burbank High rent was 900 dollars a month. Nice place too. Now it's $1400 a month. Get a room mate.

I'm in the process of looking right now too. I don't know about studios, but you can find rooms with housemates cheaper than that.

Like you, I don't know the quality yet, however.

I haven't had to look for a place in a long time, but what's considered 'ghetto' in Burbank wouldn't really qualify as 'ghetto' in many other places. I lived in Glendale when I first moved to L.A. and got a pretty decent studio for $550/mo. so you may want to check there. North Hollywood may also be a nearby cheaper alternative. Getting a roommate is generally the best plan though. Splitting a 2b/2ba. will generally get you the best deal. Good luck!
