Ok. So I've done the whole writer-director thing. I want/need to try the just-director thing now.
So I'm calling for scripts. If anybody has a script that they'd let me help bring to life, I'd love to collaborate. No, I wont be the jerk-director that takes over what you wrote. I need to practice collaborating.
Let me know. I have excellent equipment and I am developing my own artistic style.

What length are you after (10 min, 25min, 90min, etc)? What genres are you interested in making? What do you have at your disposal in terms of actors, locations, props, etc?

I'm currently looking for a length of *****<25 (totally mixed up the signs earlier) minutes. As for genre, I'm up for anything (I'd particularly like to do a good drama or comedy, but seriously, I'd like to see anything).
In terms of available actors, locations, etc.
I've got a very good male actor for high school age, as well as a very good actress for high school age. I'm good friends with the drama club, musical theater people, and local drama troupes, so in general actors **<20 are covered. I also know some good actors in their late 20's, and a guy in his 40's who I swear, in a suit, looks like harvey keitel.
In general, I am very good at finding actors, regardless of age, for my own scripts. I vehemently oppose the practice of using kids to play the roles of adults (major pet peeve).
As for locations: - Any assorted number of houses to fit any house scenes. - An industrial printing building, that also has office areas for any office scenes (this can be seen in my short "Alone") - A very rundown and creepy alleyway next to said building - A high school, outdoor hallways, that can be populated if necessary - Forests, streets, the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest - More that I'm probably not thinking of
With props, I can usually find what I need. I have a GBB Airsoft Beretta for the express purpose of composited gun scenes.

I have something you might be interested in. It's not yet finished, but its a comedy that could be made for very cheap. Just inform me if you're interested.

I've got 4 months to starting at NYU, and little access to actors and equipment. Writing a short film for someone who has the resources to realize it sounds to me like something I ought to do. I've got a couple of questions:
• When will you decide on a script (assuming you'll receive more than one)? Or in other words what is the deadline for getting a script to you.
• Do you have any previous work I can see?
• Don't take his the wrong way, but how serious are you about doing this? (I've been in my share of projects that just don't happen)
I'm looking for an up-and-coming director to create a music video for my new single, “Struggle (Symphonic).” Shoot from an existing storyboard/concept or create your own. I will be available for participation providing you live and shoot in Southern California.
This is a contest. There will be three winners - 1st place wins $500.00, 2nd $200.00 and 3rd $100.00 cash. Submissions must be received by June 1, 2008. You can get more information, download a copy of the existing storyboard and check out my new single, “Struggle (Symphonic),” by going to http://MichaelPaulMusic.com
Good luck with your career.
