I am looking for 3 completed films without music to be included on a DVD for my fourth year honours project at university.

The DVD is an analysis of film music and the films are needed to demonstrate certain compositional techniques and how music is utilised within the context of film. I will be composing orchestra based music to these films which will demonstrate the techniques i have already researched and practised.

Im looking for a Horror film, an Action film and either a drama, documentary or science fiction based film. the films all need to be at least 10 min long.


input from the director of the film is essential as i need to know their thoughts and ideas of where they would like the music placed within the film. sort of like a mini spotting session.

i would not make any financial gain from the films, but would like permission to use them as a showreel to promote my film/tv music - NOTE: i would state very clearly in the DVD that the music is only for demonstration purposes and is not a part of your film

full credit would be given on the DVD and obviously any other information about your work would be placed within a section of the DVD.

I am based in Edinburgh, Scotland so i would need to receive the film in digital format - (ie, quicktime)

I have a film that is currently being finished. It's a crime drama contrasting two worlds; the cold, unflinching world of words and orders, compared to the real world where words and actions take place. It's recorded in Digital8, but executed with steadicam, boom shotgun mics, and pro lighting. If this sounds like something you're interested in let me know.

When do you need the films by?

sounds excellent, how long is your film? i would probably need it in two weeks time

Enough of the film isn't done to give you a real accurate running time at the moment, but it will be at least [and probably close to] 10 minutes. A few questions though because it may help to give you a better final product. First, are you using an electric, chamber, or full orchestra for the recording? And does the 10 minute running time include credits?
