Hey everybody.. Im looking for a Canon XL1 or XL1s if there are any out there that somebody is willing to trade for a very good conditioned Canon GL2 + Accessories and still has warranty with Henreys. Its only a year and a bit old.. its got original box and soft cover case. I can take pictures etc if anyone can make this trade!
Thanks so much!

funkbomb and killswitch.. do your homework and maybe try using both of these cameras. id take the quality of a gl2 over an xl1 anyday.. and that trade is definately a decent trade... maybe you should take a look at what the xl1 sell for 2nd hand and what a gl2 sells for.. i've used both and i can tell you that the gl2 with an xlr adapter is definately a better quality camea to work with.

I...own...a GL2...and work...with an XL1...can't...say it...any...slower....
The XL1 (and especially the XL1s) is more expensive than a GL2 (even with "accessories") for good reason--it's a more intricate, sophisticated and overall better camera. Grits to dust, the imagers are larger (1/3" compared to the GL2's 1/4") the lenses are better, of selection and removable, the options are more plentiful and the list goes on. If the XL1 and GL2 were that close there'd be no market for the upper one. But there is.
ok i own a xl-1 and have worked with a gl-1not gl-2 and they are both very good cameras but i have a Question how do you get the display off an xl-1 say for brodcasting stuff like live feeds?

Not sure what you're asking, could you clarify? but if you're wondering how to just take the signal off an XL1 live you can take the feed from DV or thru the S-video out. Just take the tape out of the cassette deck and the auto-off feature will be disabled.
