Hello fellow members. I am a teen filmmaker and I've hit a bit of writer's block, but I'm always looking to shoot projects.

I'm interested in a short drama film script. It would also be nice if all of the roles could easily be played by teenagers, as that is what I have access to at this time. Please let me know if you have a script I may be able to use. The film will most likely be ultra-low to no budget.

You can view my films and filmography at www.bensmerg.us.tt . My email address is bensmerglia@hotmail.com

Thank you!

I know you're suffering writer's block, but would you be willing to provide more specifics as to what you'd like from the script? A friend of mine directed me to this thread and told me I might be interested in writing a script for you, which I am, though at the very least I need a bare framework to work within.

Thanks for your time.

Everbody seems to be looking for scripts, but nobody seems to be looking in the right place.

I might write something for one of you if, as nekura mentioned, we can have a few more specifics.

Dear "The Company" (I hope I wrote down the right name) I'm Also A director looking for a short script. All My writing is horrible. If you could write me a script, and how to credit it, I would appreciate if it could be sent by E-Mail. I have a low budget, so I won't be able to pay anyone... But you WILL be credited! If you could write me a short comedy, something that will catch people's attention, I would truely appreciate it.
I'm looking for good clean humer, that will cheer people up, after they watched all the horror movies that are coming out. I'm not a big fan of happy slappy movies, but comedy is what I'm shooting for. I want something were the main charecter saves the world, by mistake, or lucks out in some sort of comical way. I am able to shoot green screen scenes, but high angle scenes are almost impossible for me. Please keep in mind that my actors will be around the age of 12 or 13. You don't have to write me a script, but I would truely appreciate it! Please contact me via E-mail, at Stevenmelgar@yahoo.com ... I hope you understand that I need help...I am still a rookie. Thanx

Everyone starts somewhere. Besides, he must have been browsing the site, found this topic which was of interest to him and signed up for that sole purpose. Maybe he'll stick around, maybe he won't. That's how most forum members get signed up. I know a lot of people are having trouble writing scripts, but I find some personal satisfaction in writing one's own script. That's just what I think. Mind you, I have no problem filming another person's script, but the only concern with doing so is that I might not portray the film in the way the scriptwriter would have liked.

To those having trouble writing scripts, its best to practice. You learn the format and the words begin to flow easier. I know no one likes to hear it, but hey it's what you have to do to become good.

Kegan seems to be on the right track, but not blunt enough about it. Frankly, your "inability" to write leads you to think that other people want to do it for you. Do you really think there is a writer (I myself write short scripts, sometimes directing them myself and sometimes just closing them in the vault for the future) who wants/trusts someone with a confessed inability to fathom their own ideas? Do you think that scripts are going to fall from the sky? Are you under the impression that this happens in Hollywood? No. It certainly does not. There are men so gifted with the inborn ability to construct an idea out of nothing and complete it nearly single handedly (such as Godard) and others who have proven themselves through years and years AND YEARS of their own creativity to be handed scripts (like Scorcese that also began writing his own scripts). You may have been disillusioned with the stories of directors like Kubrick who admit that they have trouble finding this inspiration on their own and turn to books. Still, they have proven themselves through their own--already displayed--writing abilities. Therefore, if you are a teenage filmmaker who believes they truly have NO ideas of their own, then just go join the army, because you just have to follow orders there.

Haha, well said. I mean a bit harsh but you're right. If he wants to be in the industry, he has to accept some critism. It's his call now.

I know that i was going through the same thing a month ago and i found a great one and am in pre-production now that the holiday season is winding down. but one word of warning e-mail the wirter of the script for permission and if your makeing your own version of some other film research the writer and make shure its the real writer of the film.because i'd hate to see you get arrested for copywite infringement. or some thing like that_Trevo'_
