NEW to Raindance this Autumn, renowned FX artist Dan Martin launches a Special Effects for Low Budget Film workshop!

Martin’s step by step, two day course will run you through such vital tricks as muzzle flash for guns, blood rigs for blade effects and the production of cheap fake body parts as well as hitherto industry secrets such as non damaging bullet holes in car windscreens.

Event runs 25/26 October from 10am - 6:30 pm.

Raindance is offering a new course in Cinematography this December, instructed by classically-trained Eastern European filmmaker Zoran Veljkovic. This three-part workshop will give you a thorough, guerilla-style introduction to the entire process of cinematography, from creative envisioning to emerging differences between film and other HD formats.

You'll learn how to match the lighting of classic noir, how to wield filters and stocks to your advantage, how to use composition to communicate even without dialogue -- and more!

Event runs 2/3/4 December (evening course), to be repeated 6/7 December (daytime course).
