Hi,

I represent Success Innovations, a company based in the North West of England. We are looking for a filmmaker to work with on one of our online projects.

What We Require:

  • A series of 3 videos, at 3 minutes each.
  • The theme will be political satire, and therefore humourous in nature.

You Will Have:
  • Filmmaking experience
  • A highly driven and enthusiastic nature
  • Be able to think 'outside the box'
  • Be locally based (in Liverpool)

More information, and a more detailled brief will be made available to individual applicants.

We would be willing to negotiate a suitable price for the right applicant.

All applicants can apply to either:
ian.porter@overburywest.co.uk or
chris.powell@overburywest.co.uk

Many Thanks,

Christopher Powell

As opposed to non-humorous political satire. I think Success Innovation might be run by robots.

Hey everyone what's worse, Corporate Videos or Wedding Videos? I mean they both suck-azz but which is more souless.

REDKing,

I would ask you politely to please keep the nature of your comments constructive.

This is a serious advertisement looking to find a suitable person to make films; not a post designed to find the most sarcastic person on these forums.

Many Thanks,

Ok there's one vote for corporate video.

Ok Mr. Powell if you are so serious what's your ballpark price for three, three minute videos that think "oustside the box" (why do all business types use this term)

Why negoitiate a suitable price when there is a very clear industry standard? Unless you are here to prey on struggling students that might be willing to do your work for cheap.

Also, do you plan to relocate us to liverpool?

And I think wedding videos are worse... but in either case, they pay the bills until we have time and luck to land something more substantial.

Initially I would say the same thing that wedding videos are the worst but after all it's at least a "human" moment I mean documenting a ritual as important as marriage has more merit than "thinking outside the box" for business stiffs. Then again what's scarier and more demandindg than a bride on her wedding day!

Yikes I'm right back to they both suck.

REDKing,

Firstly, I take great offense at your insinuation that I am here to 'prey on struggling students'. I am not long out of education myself, and certainly know what is and is not acceptable.

Secondly, like I said, we would be willing to negotiate price - that is you review the brief, give us a figure, and we then negotiate until we are BOTH happy. Obviously that does not mean until just we the company are satisfied, but rather until we are both in agreement. Negotiations are part of the business process, and price can vary dependant on what is required. Do not assume that we would underpay someone for their work.

And we would not relocate people for this: you would need to be based in the Merseyside area.

Many Thanks,

Christopher Powell
