I haven't been on this site for a while now, because a lot of stuff has been going on in my life. I just figured I'd let you know.
I have been diagnosed with cancer. I found this out a week ago, and it hit me pretty hard. Right now, this is the only thing that matters to me. All my movie ideas, everything that used to be important, just doesn't matter. My parents agreed to buy me a Panasonic AG-DVX100, and I don't even care anymore.
To get to the point, I don't know when it will be when I can start thinking about movies again, let alone get back on this site. I might never talk to you guys again.
So I just wanted to let all of you know how much knowledge I have gained from this site and it's users. I wanted to say thank you to Chris for keeping this place up and running, and to everyone else for getting me this far.
I love making movies, but I don't know how long it will be before I can continue with this hobby. So I wanted to let you guys know what you have done for me.
If you could keep me in your prayers, I would be grateful.
Thank you and goodbye.

I'm so sorry. I've had cancer twice (I was 17 the first time - recurrance at 22). I have an idea what of what you're facing. I'd be happy to talk to you about it or answer any questions you may have. Just let me know what I can do. You can email me at jeremy_delamarter@hotmail.com or you can call me at (949) 388-0964. Again, I'm very sorry. You're in my prayers.

It is always the hardest to maybe loose someone that is much like yourself. I believe everyone here, no matter where we live, or what we look like, our ambitions are all the same. I believe that is what makes us a community. When someone in the community is hurting, like yourself, it is hard on everyone.
Remember, more of it is about will power. If you believe, like I do, that you can get through this, you will.
We're all pulling for you. You will be able to film again.

God bless you man. You are being prayed for. Just hang tuff, and keep the faith. I know this is alot right now. It needs time to sink in. Once it has, i hope it inspires you like never before. Whethere it be in film making, or something else. Never let go of your dreams regardles of what they are, or what the circumstances seem to say. We forge our own destinies.
I sincerly hope this isnt the last time you post. You have been a very valuable part of these boards. Please try and pop in from time to time and let us know how your doing. Be strong, our thoughts are with you. R. Michael

Shocking. I am sorry to hear this, even though we never met, like the above posts said... this is a community and it hurts us all. Good luck with everything and stay postive. If it helps keep posting if it doesn't, then I wish you the best of luck with everything.
If you don't look I'll force you to _=_

When you beat this thing, and you will, you will be a much stronger person. I can't imagine what you are going through. For a few weeks of my life I awaited test results in regards to a fairly large lump on my chest. Fortunately it was a benign chunk of cartelage that stays with me to this day, but I will always remember the anxiety of that time (I was only 4 or 5 which is a pretty resiliant age). I'm not a man of faith, but my thoughts are with you my friend. Get well soon.

My regards to you my friend. This news i quite sobering. Just keep pushing on, beat this cancer, write a screenplay about it, make it a movie, and win an Academy Award. Thats all I can tell you to do. Be the winner no matter what.
Your in our prayers..........Beat that cancer bro!!!

Hey man, be strong and fight it out. Just keep hope with you and you'll come out on top. As everyone has said, you can't let this get you down. You'll get better and be a stronger person because of it...and we're all praying that won't be your last post.

Gabriel...look for motivation where ever it may be in life...and please try to keep your head up, things always get better...worry and stress are only fog, which blocks that light at the end of the tunnel...burn the fog.
The silence of awe shall soon be heard.

I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said yet. Just be strong, fight it, and kick that cancer's ass. You're stronger than it. Never give up and come back here and post again when you do beat it. We'll be waiting for you.
I"m shocked. PG you have always been an especailly strong rolemodel for me because we are the same age and your dedication to the filmkaing art has been amazing. Best of luck overcomming this thing, keep filming if thats where your hart takes you, if not go where it does. My thoughts are with you, hold strong.
