I am just launching a new production company and am going to put up a website. I was wondering if any of you guys or gals have a great domain for free and untampered webpages. I'd Love to get some feedback as soon as possible. Thanks a lot, you guys.

No site gives you free space without putting on some kind of ad. But if geocities is what I use for free webspace. You get ftp access + a good amount of webspace. Only 1 popup and thats it. Not bad, but for a film site I guess that gets annoying.

Yeah no such thing as untampered. There is a cool new site that gives you 3 years of a 500mb website with 5gig transfer for free. Great for loading video files to and linking from your existing site.

Now if I only knew how to do this....

Otherwise I use freeservers for now. Simple templates for the Non HTML literate but one pop up per page load (more if your comp has spyware) I am simply waiting for someone who knows a thing or two about web design to help me set up my new site before I buy a domain name and make the switch. I have very specific ideas of how the site needs to look and feel so I wont bother till i can achieve it. Good luck.

You should contact me by e-mail or something. I might can help you out on the web page design. I know a pretty good amount of html and am now studying up on my java, javascript, php, etc etc yadda yadda...

As for hosting I currently use www.hypermart.net for the page itself and www.cjb.net to cloak the URL as "http://mydomain.cjb.net/" instead of like "http://www.hypermart.net/myusername/mydomain/home.html". That's too freakin long, heh.

And thanks for the link since I do know how to link from my main page to another. Yay!

tizzy, go to the 1and1.com thing and register an account- it doesn't cost anything and you can buy the domain name later- they won't even ask for a credit card unless you buy a domain name. this offer expires Jan!!!!
also the domain is only 6 bucks, if you buy it from them! you can buy this anytime, BTW. So if you don't buy a domain name, you site address will just be a bunch of numbers. this is an amazing deal!!!! i registered 2 accounts (you can do 1 account per phone number), no pop ups, no banners, and fast speeds.

the 1and1 deal is free hosting for 3 years with 500 megs of space and 2 gig of transfer a month- per phone number that you have. im surprised people arn't jumping all over this thing. I'm going to use every one of my friends phone #'s so i have 1 billion gigabytes of storage. wait i don't have that many friends.
