I just got rid of my Canon XL1 and am now using a DVX100A. For a feature I made with the XL1, I used an ext. shotgun mic. Since the XL1 doesnt have XLR, I had to buy the Beachtek DXA-4C XLR Audio adapter. Now that im using the DVX (which has built in XLR) I dont need the adapter anymore. It is in very good shape, has been used under 20 times and is being sold for $100.00
Here are the specs if you are technically curious.

MIC: 880mV / LINE: 10V (1% THD@60Hz)
Input Impedance:

Dimensions: 5.25" x 2.75" x 1.25"
