I dunno if anyone has offered this yet or not, so sorry if this is a repost of a topic.
I work at an NPR station, and also do VO work for commercials for the company for which I work. I have been told by many people, including my programming director at the station, that I "have a good set of pipes."
Anyway, I thought I would donate my voice to anyone who might be interested in needing a VO for a movie or trailer. I will fully admit that I am not as good as that one guy who does movie trailers now, but I can do a pretty good job. I figured if you want, send me the lines to be read, the context in which they are to be read, and then I can record it in a sound studio and mail it to you. When my movie "Mneumonic Devices" gets put on here, you can get a better idea of what I sound like. I don't want any money or crap like that (hence, the title of the thread...just promise that you will keep an eye out for me when you are succeeding in hollywood! Oh, and the experience is nice, too.)
Just thought I'd offer...my contact info is john.gibson @gmail. com

awesome! I meant to add, too, that if the vo doesn't really meet your needs, you can always just scrap it, too. So, there really isn't anything to lose.
The NPR station btw is 91.3 WKMS, out of Murray, KY. So, if you are within about a two hour radius, you can usually hear me blabbing about music on a show I host, the Indie Connection, Friday evenings at 11 p.m. CST (*cough* shameless plug *cough*). You can also hear it online at wkms.org.
______ "Sure as I know anything, I know this - they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, ten? They'll swing back to the belief that they can make people... better. And I do not hold to that. So no more runnin'. I aim to misbehave."
