Lucky Penny:

Not a bad movie at all... I like the idea that sometimes when it rains it pours and then when all of a sudden you think its going to clear up it starts to hail! lol

How about you check out the "Review Me" list then. Wink - and review through that system instead of through the forums.

I think I'm behind updating reviews too.

Just had bad internet problems at home - but just fixed that. Yay.

LOST IN CONCEPTION

I left a pretty detailed desription on your actual review so be sure to check that out. I think you have a whole lot of potential and you definetly knew what you were doing when you made this film. My advice is work with your actors a little more because they showed a whole lot of potential and I think you could have pushed them a little bit to make the performance go from good to GREAT. Good job I enjoyed the film very much.

why does it matter where the movie is posted? i dont have money to post it on this site so that is why i at least posted it on here for comments and reviews but sees as no one cares about filmmaking itself and helping others,i wont waste my time anymore.

I care about film making, however this site gets its income and is built off of people sending in their films to it... if everyone just posted outside links the site would fall apart... I apologize for offending you but it makes sense doesnt it?

It does, however, the rule about no outside postings was abolished a while back... so official it's okay.

The Sepia look of the film was pretty sweet, however It looked washed out in a lot of spots and made things hard to see for me... I dont know if thats what you were going for but it didnt really work for me. The drug scenes had phenominal editing and really great sound effects I liked the way you showed the eyeballs moving back and forth like that it really drew me in to what was happeneing. I also like the way you showed the view threw the peep hole. The story, in my opinion, was nothing too original, but you made a decent movie out of it none the less. You definetly have an eye for editing and your actors did a pretty good job also. My advice is next time get a little bit more of an original story. Overall I would give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Retribution

Loved the opening shot of the building with the camera tilting down... it looked really nice
This story was a lot better then your last one, but my advice is stay away from anything envolving guns next time because they are overdone a lot in student films. I really liked how you never showed us the man's face, it makes it a lot scarier when you have to use your imagination because people think diffrent about what is intimidating and what isnt so you made sure everyone had to make their own prediction of what he looked like. The story was a little far fectched but what movie isnt? I loved the last shot of the movie, nice static shot looked beautiful and the slow motion at the end was nice. Acting could have used work but overall it was a nicely shot film. 4 out of 5 stars

Hey thx for the reviews i really think that i should stay away from the cliche student film ideas that everbody uses like u said. Right now im almost halfway done my 35 mm DOF adapter and i cant wait to have it working Big Grin
Do you think those 2 films are worthy to send to a college as my portfolio or would they just laugh at me ? or should i make something more serious and with a message.

Alex... the films you did were good but I think the whole "gun" thing may end up hurting you in the end so I would really try and make something new to send in... you are on the right track tho man you have potential
