Theres plenty of great book-to-movie translations out there, everything from the Shawshank Redemption to the (sort of) Apocalypse Now, but there are also those great books that have never been made into films (or at least into good films). What story would you like to see most as a film?
Yeah this topic came a few months back. My answer remains the same as well. One day I will make the book to screen translation of Frank E Peretties "This Present Darkness" and "Piercing The Darkness". Its actually almost been made several times before. The books idea is stronger than the actual story and Im working on a short that is semi based on the books (more on the concept) but need financing to make it. When I make it though, rest assured it will be sick. Sick I tell you!!! R. Michael

Yeah, I was thinking about the Phantom Tolbooth and I realized suddenly that I knew the movies general direction almost by heart. First, this persecuted punk kid (live action) comes home to fin aa weird hift in his house. He opens it and a car and a tolboot coem out. He goes in and everything goes cartoon. He meets a watch dog and he has to save the weird crystal people. He goes through the alphabet king to get there, and so on.
Film Director is not a name, It's a lifestyle.
