Seems like we all basically applied for the same places. Just wondering which will be your first choice if you get in?

As for me, I only applied to Chapman (screen writing)and UCLA (Directing. Ideally I would go to UCLA, but in all honesty, I go to whichever funds me better.

I started out with the Ohio dream and acceptance of the USC hype, only applied to AFI because my department chair was an alum and insisted I apply, UCLA was basically the same reasons as USC.

Upon deeper research, which I should have done before applying, AFI is by far my first choice.

But I'll end up at UCLA. I've been dreaming it for over a year.

Seriously.

I only applied to 3 schools - UCLA, USC and Boston University (my back up). My first choice started out as UCLA then switched to USC. Now I'm all confused because both schools have their positives and negatives.

At this point, I'm just trying to focus all my energy on getting into any of these schools and that means spending lots of time preparing for the interview for UCLA (which is difficult because I'm studying for finals. Tomorrow is my last one, luckily.)

Ah...the safety school.

I opted not to apply to a safety school, because I decided I didn't want to go in 2007 if I didn't go to one of my top three, I would reapply.

Yeah, I thought about that too. FOr me, I figured that either way, it would be one step closer to the goal no matter the school. In reality, I only really want to go to UCLA or USC. Big Grin

Yeah, I opted for no real safety as well. Just thought if I didn't get into a program I really loved I would be miserable.

By the way, I failed to mention earlier, the faculty at UCLA were really cool, not pretentious at all. (I applied to Yale last year and the faculty were flat out disgustingly egocentric.)
