Okay guys, let's take our minds off of the whole admissions waiting game (I know I am...)
...for a few minutes at least...

In the next few months we will all hopefully be accepted to a school we can call home for the next few years. Then the forum will go quiet... haha! Exciting time. This is when most of us will begin a whole new process of finding a new home and job. From reading the posts I can safely assume that most of us don't live down the street from our dream school. That would be nice tho!
No pressure guys, I'm not trying to freak anyone out. Hear me out:
Let's try to look ahead guys. We all care about our futures. Recently, so that I could take my mind off of my admission/interview status I began to plan out my future ...hypothetically at least. Just in case I don't get into any of my schools (knock on wood)
How about work? You guys start thinking about that yet? I need to pay for stuff like gas, food, movies, supplies...yada yada. Internships? Are there plenty of internship opportunities near our schools? Access to these is golden. Some schools help you in this area but its up to us to be proactive so to gain experience and perhaps open doors for future employment.
Just keeping it real...
How many of us are going to work full or part-time while in school? I know most grad schools have classes at night. While Grad school isn't easy (or cheap...) we still have to make some money right?
I guess this is a question directed at those already in grad school like Winter, jayimess and all the other 2007 kids who still check these boards (others feel free to to chime in as well)
By the way, you 'veterans' are an awesome source of insight. How has your experience been in terms of work/internships in addition to school? How do you guys have time to go to school/intern/work/network/have a social life and all that? I would really appreciate the insight.
Best of luck everyone!
