Hi Lovely People,

I'm getting my portfolio together and it's a pretty disparate group of writng samples - scripts (thick), a sample copy of a magazine I edited (thick), magazine, newspaper articles, and theatre reviews I've written (thin), the cover of a local Arts Weekly that I concepted (big) and a little comic strip I wrote (small).

Any tips on how to present this stuff? I'm thinking of putting together a portfolio that is more int he vein of an art portfolio - a book with black pages to display it well - and wonder whether or not this type of curious appraoch is frowned upon.

Thanks for your help!

Leah

I don't know where you're applying, or for what program, but from every program I've seen, that is WAAAAAY too much stuff.

Less is more. Send a handful of gold instead of a truckload of crap.

Some applications have specific formats as well...down to the placement of staples, font size, etc.
