What style do you like? Surrealism/Absurdism, Films that create a believable and intricate new world
What kind of stories you want to tell? Ones that blend the imaginative, bizarre, and experimental into a more relevant and powerful package that people can relate to.
What directors do you like? David Lynch, Tim Burton, Harmony Korine, Darren Aronofsky
What Cinematographers you like? I'm not going to pretend to know their names, but I think the cinematographers behind Dancer in the Dark and Fight Club were amazing.

I really would like to see them start production/casting soon, but I am content waiting because I think they absolutely need to take their time with this project, considering how huge and epic of an undertaking it would be if they want to do it right.

anyone heard of Elephant Dreams? It's an open source short animation film from the netherlands (i think..I know it's from somewhere in europe.) I have to say the idea of making a film via 'open source' is like...too cool!
