I've been working on my film school apps and wanted some clarification on UCLA's requirements. This may sound nit-picky but do they want their statement of purpose and treatment to be double or single spaced?
And for those of you that did get into school or are applying, who did you ask for references? I wanted to know if it's better to ask certain people (professors, people in the industry, etc.) over others.

I single spaced mine.

I used my screenwriting professor, my supervisor at the job I had while dropped out of undergrad, and my mentor/boss at my internship as a producer for Fox.

Good luck.

So I have a question about the 2 page treatment.

I have been working on mine for a bit, but am now having second thoughts on the format/style. Just to clarify, this is a real treatment? As in two pages describing/outlining the events and theme and characters of a project I'm working on?

Not a pitch, right? I shouldn't be saying "Such and such is a 25 minute noir send up shot using two distinct aesthetics..."

So make it look as professional as possible? (I mean, duh, but...I don't want it to come off as faux-professional posturing. After all, I'm applying to film school so I can be taught to do it proper.)
