Hi all,
I know they called some of the cinematography admits on Saturday to let them know they got in. Don't freak out if you didn't get a call though because A) This is just for cinematography - I'm not at all sure how other departments notify their admits, and B) I'm not even sure if they called all of the cinematography admits (just some). But anyway, it's probably a very good sign if you got a call.

I didn't want people to go crazy over the weekend, but I got a call on Friday with the admit. I'm going to AFI, y'all. I got a call from one of my interviewers, so that might affect it (i.e. she didn't interview everyone, so she didn't call everyone).

Good Morning all! I hope all of you managed to get some sleep last night. I'm not waiting for an AFI acceptance call this year. I tried that path last year and was ultimately rejected...all for the best though. I'm posting this morning just to send well wishes to all of you. I hope that whatever happens today no one here loses sight of their goal. No matter what institution you attend...remember that the stories and the vision are within you...not contingent on what school grants you acceptance.

Besides...If you don't get in to AFI chances are you are going to go to some other amazing school anyway, like Chapman or USC with me

still no call for me... so on edge everytime my phone rings today.

screenwriting too... i called them back today. it was sheila sullivan who called, the assist dean and one of my interviewers.

but still haven't spoken to anyone.

still haven't heard anything here...it's only 1pm there, though, so I'm not giving up...

Although two screenwriters getting called makes this one kind of sad...

What happens if you don't get called you think. I mean are they going to be calling all week? Do they send you an e-mail if you didnt get in? or do you just not get a call? :/

I'd bet that you will just not get a call (and by you, realize that I am also including myself). I'm sure there will be a nice form letter in the mail postmarked the 16th though.

But who knows, there's still around 5 hours of daylight left in Hollywood, so maybe they're still making calls. Here's hoping!

The email I got last week said notification would be today...then someone who went to AFI said they called in 2004.

What if they're just mailing letters, and we're all worrying for nothing??
