I want to go to film school, but I didnt get my undergrad in film, rather in the more broad arena of "communication."

Which film schools are ok with that, and don't require that much previous academic work in film?

also which films allow for late applications. in other words dont require the applications 8 months before the start date?

You missed the final deadline for Chapman, I believe it was May 1.

However, I don't recommend choosing a school by their app deadline and who wants the least from you...

I majored in COM and went for the gold.

If you want to go to film school, even if you don't want to go to a so-called "top tier," you'll need to plan ahead. You need letters of rec, possibly a GRE test, and significant effort given to the app requirements.

Good luck.
