The Film School Confidential is a pretty good place to start the search... It's a book that gives info on many of the MFA programs in the States and can be ordered from amazon. Make sure you get the revised and updated version.

Then getting more info by visiting the official school websites and narrow down your choices. Make a list of questions follow up with people on sites like this... and talk with peopel in the admissions office.

That's how I did my search. Hope that helps and good luck.

Iceberg,

Are you looking for undergrad schools or grad schools? Or non-degree programs? NYFA offers year long non-degree programs (have you looked at their website? http://www.nyfa.com/)

But are you more interested in universities? And is money a factor for you, or is there anything else specific you're looking for in a school?

Yeah I would also suggest the Film School Confidential...And browse through the Film School Forums on this site. Those can be a great help.

So... you've already gone to a university? You're looking for something like NYFA? Because if you're truly looking for the best education in film, grad school at a place like New York University, Chapman University, University of Southern California, University of California Los Angeles, etc. would be the way to go. But of course, those are all going to be expensive and intensive options.

I'm not nearly as well informed about trade schools (as I believe you're referring to) though.

If you're going trade school, I hate to say it, but if you're coming all the way over here and money's not such a factor, check out Full Sail.
