Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forums. I thought it would be a good idea to sign up because you never know the connections you can find in various places.

A little about myself:
I live in Arizona and am a student at SCC. I discovered my passion for film at the end of my junior year of high school. It's an interesting story, really. My partner for an english project was in the TV production class, so we decided to use their lab for our english project. As soon as I stepped into that room full of the energy of enthusiastic filmmakers-to-be, I knew that it just felt right. After that, I took the class my senior year and am continuing with film in my college.

For my class, I am currently in the preproduction stages of my short film called "Running." The assignment is to create a 16mm, 3 minute, MOS piece. We are using a Canon Scoopic camera for it. I know the camera isn't high tech or anything, but this is our first project with film. Hopefully, I might screen the film on this site.

My class also just finished our project entitled "Fishy." My role was as the still photographer, but the experience was worthwhile nevertheless.

Beside that, I am currently working on a script for a film called "Musing." This will be my first major project and as soon as I feel like the script is ready, I will begin my search for actors, crew members, a composer, etc. Although I don't have much experience with film yet, I would like to shoot this project on film. I think it'll be a good experience.

Now that I've just about written a novel, I'd just like to say that I look forward to getting to know this forum and hopefully getting to know some of you wonderfully talented people out there.

Welcome!

I made a film called "Running" a long time ago, when I was a kid. It was about a kid who had a bomb inside him and the only way to keep it from going off was to keep running. It was actually a very entertaining and interesting movie, and one of the things that kept me going as a filmmaker.
