Per the recommendation of jeff I've added this forum.

This is where everyone can post a topic to tell a little bit about themselves and their background, current projects/study, dreams, and ambitions.

Enjoy!

My Name is John Handem, I go to the university of Texas at austin which is now one of the leading film schools in the nation due to the recently aqcuired burnt orange production our school gets 3 million dolars to produce three independent films a year and the students get to work on the projects alongside acclaimed directors! The only film i have posted on this site is an animation called The Great Mistake its one of the best reviewed animation movies on the site with 40 reviews you should check it out. I have a lot of other projects but they are too long to submit to the site but i plan on submitting a short action film about a vampire slayer and its called "The Businessman" should be pretty awesome. Im currently in London for the summer interning with my uncle who who has his own film production company and soon ill be helping out with the post production crew on one of my uncles films called "the merchant of venice" starring Al Pacino. My ambitions are to eventually become an established film director and hopefully do some acting along the way. Hope to hear your thoughts on my new film "the businessman" when it comes out next january!

"I thought my ideas were so clear. I wanted to make an honest film. No lies whatsoever. I thought I had something so simple to say. Something useful to everybody. A film that could help bury forever all those dead things we carry within ourselves. Instead, I'm the one without the courage to bury anything at all. When did I go wrong? I really have nothing to say, but I want to say it all the same."

- Fellini's 8 ½'

"There are no more barriers to cross. All I have in common with the uncontrollable and the insane, the vicious and the evil, all the mayhem I have caused and my utter indifference toward it I have now surpassed. My pain is constant and sharp and I do not hope for a better world for anyone, in fact I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape, but even after admitting this there is no catharsis, my punishment continuous to allude me and I gain no deeper knowledge of myself no new knowledge can be extracted from my telling. This confession has meant nothing."

- American Psycho

My name is Ali and im new to studentfilms.com, well as a member. iv been watching films on here for some time. But I had a question, specifically aimed toward the administrator. I know the faqs section basically provides you with everything you need to know but im one of those indivduals who is not in school at this time. I just graduated from high school im may. I have registerd for college, today as a matter of fact, and in september will be taking several film and digital arts courses there. But right now during the summer im working on a film, its still in the screenwriting procees but I will most likley have it finished by the end of the month and would love to submit it to your site. I have a good digital camcorder and top notch software so it will be a quality film. Would there be a problem accepting it since there is no school name or production company attached to it? thanks!

I'm Jebous and I enjoy making movies...mostly in my head at this point although I begun shooting my first film today. I go to school at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, where I watch a lot of movies, study cinema, and make pretentious observations. Well, maybe not that last part. I use Macs at all stages of the creative process; my first film should be done by late summer.

My name is Jared Ripplinger. I'm from Utah, and I began my filmmaking last summer (2003) on a project called "The Barbaric Tree-Climber". It ended up being around 30 minutes in length, and terrible as far as a movie goes. But hey, it was a first!

I've now taken a video production class and improved my script writing a lot and I'm working on a project called "The Third Warrior". If you want to know more about it, the best thing is to visit my website.
