Hey everyone, I'm new to the website, how's it going?

I was never really good at these introduction posts, they always sound awkward as I write them, so please forgive me if this sounds somewhat disjointed.

I have loved movies since I was five. While the other kids were watching 56 hour Power Rangers marathons, I was watching the Universal classic monster movies. Since then, I've grown in a way. I have developed a huge appreciation for foreign cinema, and just discovered the utter coolness for film noir, and the beautiful art of comedy. I have never made a movie yet, have made attempts at scripts, but nothing has come out right yet.

So, to make me feel like I have not completely wasted anyone's time, I will ask a question to give this post justification.

Q: I have no camera, I need one to make a film. I don't like the idea of renting one. I want one that I can make fairly professional looking productions on with a menial budget, what do you pro's suggest.

Sincerely,

Carson Winter.

Hey! Welcome to the boards!

there's tons of "which camera should I buy?" and "film vs. DV vs. HD" sort of threads going around, so just look around and there should be tons of info.
