Haha, you sound like you want to know everything - you have to read reviews, scour the boards of this site and others. Its a lot of work and its your money that you're investing; you can't just take the word of the general mass on this site or any site for that matter. Brands can be recommended, because they're tried and true, but the feel of a camera and the workflow a camera uses is very important. Videos in what sense? You said for broadcasting online and DVDs - two very different markets with different equipment needs. Will you be making short films, music videos, corporate videos or shooting events? Do you want HD or is that unimportant to you? What have you done so far that has interested you in making videos? Whats your budget like or your starting budget? These are some questions you have to answer, before anyone can really help you or give you a direct answer. Hope all goes well, Kegan

The best way to learn is to dive into a project. Does this interest you at all? I'm looking for an up-and-coming director to create a music video for my new single, “Struggle (Symphonic).” You can shoot from an existing storyboard/concept or create your own. I will be available for participation providing you live/shoot in Southern California. It's a contest. There will be three winners - 1st place wins $500.00, 2nd $200.00 and 3rd $100.00 cash. Submissions must be received by June 1, 2008. You can get more information, download a copy of the existing storyboard and check out my new single, “Struggle (Symphonic),” by going to http://myspace.com/MichaelPaulMusicDotCom or http://MichaelPaulMusic.comLet me know what you think and please share this info with your filmmaking friends. Best of luck with your career, Michael Paul
