Hey, welcome to the site. Tell us a little more about yourself, and I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction and give you some advice, ex How old are you? Why are you interested in film? Do you know what part of filmmaking most appeals to you? If you're at that stage yet, are you looking around at film schools? We've got a whole board devoted to film schools on this site, which is a pretty good place to ask questions or get advice from others.

Thankyou, I think I may have some questions. quote: Originally posted by JW: Hey, welcome to the site.

Well, I am in my sophomore year, and have been interested in film for two years now. I guess it all of film making appeals to me, it is the thought that I made or am making something that others can enjoy. I have made, 2 shorts, and 1 stop action/animated short, and I'm currently working on my 4th, which is an action movie. The 5th one is also an action movie, but I am having a liitle trouble putting the fighting scenes down on paper... I haven't really been looking at film schools, I will pretty soon though. Well, I'll be back on later...

Hi all! My name is Jared Ripplinger, and I'm a senior in high school in Ogden, Utah. I'm also quite new to filmmaking. My first film, "The Barbaric Tree-Climber", ran 30 min. in length and was a complete disaster, but a great learning experience. I've made a couple shorts, and I'm currently in post-production on my first full-length film, "The Third Warrior". I'm really excited to be here on SF and I really enjoy seeing other people's work. Other than filmmaking, I'm also really into film music, Lord of the Rings, M. Night Shyamalan, and the viola.
