Ok, so we'll go with my name is Eve *points to username* which wasn't very hard. I am technically *not* a filmmaker. As in, I'm not.
So why am I here? (I ask myself that a lot too)
Ummm...mostly because I love movies, and want to see if I can be involved with them as a career. I'm in college, and I have that annoying little need to actually do something I like. Hmph.
So I must have changed majors a zillion times over, but whatever.
Ok, so I am artistic - my art teacher wanted me to major in art.
Ok, so I can write somewhat - my english teacher wanted me to major in english.
I have no real experience in films, except that I enjoy them. Oh, and I was an extra for free once for Anger Management. But that was randomn, last minute decision and I don't want to act. Definately not.
This forum looks awesome! It looks like I can learn a lot here, which is what I'm looking for, especially since I can't find the right words to feed into google to find anything else that's good.
So, post a 'hi' or a 'loser' or a, 'hey, I have an idea for you...' kinda thing and make me happy, why don't you? Kudos.
Hello, and welcome! If you want to be in film - just go for it! Go out and make some films, and if it's what you truly want, you'll know what to do next time you go to change your subjects... English is brilliant though, especially if you want to write or direct It's relatively easy to turn an intelligent and interesting person into a film-maker, and that doesn't always happen at film schools (like mine). Have you thought of going to a grad school? There's a thread on those somewhere... look under 'film schools'. Well, good luck, and I hope you find what you're looking for!
"Ahahahahaha! Ahahahaha! Ahahaha!"

I read this forums regularly, but I decided to register so that I could respond. Have you ever considered being a production designer? Check it out on google or whatever...you might like that.
