Hey everybody. I'm one of, what I presume to be many, of those waiting back to hear from Tisch. If I'm right, Tisch students hear back a tad bit before everyone else because of the "Saturday at the Square" event invitation. This means that there is only about a month left.
Let's just build some anticipation for this. Maybe list your stats, a link to your portfolio film, or just start rumors. I don't care. I want to get excited about it. I'm not at all, at the moment.
Okay!

SOME of you hear earlier. Tisch refuses to verify any rumors about this, but some percentage of the applicants are invited to Saturday on the Square, and get their invitations about a week before the decisions. When I called and asked if it meant I was in, they said "there's a very good chance." They meant "yes."

Saturday at the Square, I guess is like a pre-orientation orientation. I think it is for people in Tisch to just meet teachers and each other, basically a spring break vacation type thing. Perry would know more about it.
They should have a pill for senioritis. High school is for little girls...

There is no interview for the undergraduate program.
And yes, either way- accepted or denied- I'm excited. I've been thinking about whether or not I'm going to get in since October, when I mailed everything. I'm excited about getting a decision, and this whole stupid process ending, one way or the other.
I'm also a little optimistic. It's fun to at least think about NYC life and Tisch.
Anyway.

I'm really not excited at all. Even if I get in I'm probably not going to go because it's insanely expensive and they give crap financial aid. I would like to be able to say I got in though, haha.

Oh well. If I get in, I'll probably find a way to go. Very few get the privelege of such a college experience. I'd be a great thing to have done in life. And if you are good, and dedicated, I have a feeling paying the money back will be possible after getting a career started.
That is though, very optimistic thinking. But, like the adage says, "nothing ventured, nothing gained."
