Hello! My name is Dan, and I am a film-o-holic. I have been interested in filmmaking for many years, and have just completed my (probably) final film for high school, entitled "Shamus & Me" to this site. In the movie, a young lad gets basketball tips from a leprechaun-in-training. I would appreciate all who have time to review/give constructive (or destructive) criticism. Anywho, great site, and thanks for readin'!
now ur film-- -careful of things like green screen and how bad they can look (and sound) -make the coach memorize his lines instead of hiding the script on the clipboard -work on acting -the script, to be a funny short, needs to fit together more tightly-there were "flow holes" if thats a sensible term for it-places where the action "stopped" or where actions didn't flow into one another -
ok i shouldn't really rip it totaly apart but those are some basic things i hope can help out for the next thing

Yeah, this was a real rush job, and the coach was my dad, who just can't memorize lines. I agree with the greenscreen, but the main part of the project was that I was the star of the WHOLE movie, including interacting with myself. I couldn't think of a way besides greenscreening without resorting to cut shots, which would get REALLY monotonous. Also, keep in mind the green screen was made out of 6 tablecloths in my garage Check out the web site for odd stories like that. Thanks for the criticism though! Any advice always helps!
lol- well knowing its a rush job - i shouldn't really have critiqued it at all- in fact since ur film was apparenlty made under extreme time constraints i should be complimenting the courage under fire it shows w/ green screen attempts and such-
