I've probably turned everyone off from reading this just with that subject.

Hi, I'm Hunter, and I'm new here.

I'm 17 years old, but with a decent amount of filmmaking experience - started with acting, realizing i couldn't sing and dance, so writing screenplays for me to act in... then I started directing them.

I think I'm okay, but I know i'm not great. I have a bunch of movies I've done, and stuff I've edited for my school - ranging from a spoof on Kill Bill Vol. 2 to a section for my school's video yearbook to the latest one I've done, an 11-ish minute long short film called "Tommie". I'd love to get some of my stuff up on this site for input - if I knew how, heh. I'll figure it out, I'm sure.

I've also written a feature script and tried to shoot it, but twenty-something pages into it, the summer ended and it was for naught. But then again, I did gain a lot of experience, so perhaps it was worth it.

I'll stop rambling. Hi, all!

Welcome Hunter Smile

Please do put some stuff on SF.com! It'd be cool to see it.

What was the feature about? I agree, features do give you a ton of experience.

I hate the fact that it was too confusing to explain well, heh. The plot was about a kid who fell in love with someone who he never could have, etc., but it focused more on him, his friend and his brother than him and the girl.

Is it accepted to just link to my stuff or do you guys rather only uploads here?

your supposed to mail them into the site, but I think Chris recently made it so you can send them by e-mail, I'm not sure though. Check out the main page for info.

hmm... I caught that, but like... do you guys frown on linking to films that are uploaded to other servers?

Yes, we do, collectively frown, we mods, that is, at linking Big Grin

But once is ok. We'll be frowning, but only slightly.

Alright then... in the next day or so, I may put up a link for one of my shorts. I expect that once I make sure every kink is worked out of 'Tommie', I'll mail it in.

Where should I put it, though... self-promotions I'm guessing?

Thanks for being decent and cordial, heh.

Yeah, its especially good of you that you'll be mailing it in later Smile

Announcements seems like the right place to me. Just say that you're aware of the policy, you're not going to make a practice of it, and you'll be sending it in eventually, and you'll be ok Razz

But I really do emphasize that it would be awesome if you send it into the site Big Grin
