I have a film I want to put on a DVD. The problem: I have no film to DVD software!! I have tried ROXIO DVD CREATOR and MYDVD.

Both programs have a setup where each Video file is a menu button... and allowing you to break that indiviudal file down into chapters.

Is there ANY program out there that allows you to create a TEXT-BASED menu? And also, my AVI's files are chapters themselves... any program that regonizes that?

The one program that does what I want is Sony's CLICK TO DVD- but that software is only on Sony computers...

Any help would be wonderful.

Can you clarify a bit? Do you have an actual film -8mm, 16mm etc that you want to put onto a dvd? If so you'll have to get the film digitized first then it can be output to dvd. Some people call it scanning but I think the correct term is telecine or something close to that.

If your "film" is already on your hard drive I would think any dvd authoring program will do the trick. Encore dvd, Vegas to name a few, should get you what you are looking for.

Get Sony DVD Author. I think you can download a trial of it. That works well.
