I have want to make a movie that's about the standard size trailer but i don't want it 250MB. I have FCP and compressor (which i'm clueless with). Anyone know how to get the file size reasonable and still retain a full quality picture - as long as the size is 470x200

Use Sorensen 3 compression! It's how they do it. You need to play with the settings, but the best ones involve the 2-pass VBR (variable bit-rate) and a max data rate of like 80-90kps (kilobytes, not kilobits which are 1/8 of a kilobyte).

Chad, if it were me, I'd use Quicktime h.264. I like sorenson 3 pro (which includes the multipass VBR encoder), but not the regular sorenson 3 included with QT and compressor and FCP–not that great. Yes, users will need QT7, but that's okay IMO. So, that's my opinion. Go for h.264 because it's free to you. If you buy sorenson 3 pro, it's around $150.
