although I was lucky enough to use a school version of final cut for my last movie, at home I am stuck with Pinnacle Studio 8. Its usually really great untill I am almost done with the movie. Near the end and put music in, the audio will randomly slow down, speed up or disapear all together and I deffinetly didn't do anything to make it do that by accident. Sometimes I don't touch anything, and I'm just playing back something again it screws up and I fight with it for hours and try exporting it to see if its not a permenent thing but nothing seems to work. Perhaps I should just get more memory but I have no money. It makes me want to throw my camera into my computer sometimes. I have windows xp. Any ideas? Or is there a better affordable editing program? I'm only 15

Are you using a wave file or an mp3? Try switching.

Its not the music that dissapears, the music gets chopy sometimes, and scenes without music just randomly mute.

I use Pinnacle Studio 7. I have no idea what does considering my friend has like this 30 gig hard drive. I don't think it has anything to do with memory.
We kind of got it to work better when we pulled the plug on the internet, shut down all other programs except Systray and Black Ice and the other important ones and it helped a little bit.

Hope that helps.
