I don't download 'em, cuz you never know what you're getting when you do it that way. I don't have time to RE-download programs I thought I was getting.
I can get whatever I need using my connections with Adobe employees

About 90 percent of mine is downloaded. I have tons of software. Including some that some people havent even heard of. My PC can almost match up to an avid.

Download as well - and I do know what I am getting all of the time cuz I have been downloading software for quite awhile now.
Video_Filmmaker: What stuff do you have? Right now I have photoshop 7, Retimer, Soundforge, Premiere, Avid Express D.V, After Effects Production Bundle 5.5.
End of the month I can't wait to get Adobe Premiere Pro and the new AFter Effects!

I bought...got Pinacle STudio 8 Limited Edition for $80 (as I said LIMITED edition), but it also came with a converter that transfers composite to USB (which us non-firewire compatible camera/computer users are left).
Although I really wish I had just upgraded everything than get this set up. Features I love to use have been left out of Studio LE and the cable cannot output to a VCR. I guess I should have read the fine print. But thanks to my cousin (who works in Best Buy in the digital camera dept.) I'm gonna upgrade to digital finally and then maybe I can upgrade Studio...
After Effects and Premiere, I "borrowed" from the advertsing department at my dad's office
I use FCP most out of all of them though, premiere is basically useless compared to FCP and my AE is version 3 (that must be worth something to collectors by now)

I bought pinnacle, and with that came my firewire card. i didn't NOT download: morphing software (which confuses me endlessly), premiere, after effects, photoshop, and others that i have deleted because i couldn't figure them out. maybe it is just that i dont have the attention span to read the entire help section, or whatever, but i think i have discovered that most of what you are paying for when you buy software is the knowledge of how to use it. anyone know where i could find user-friendly tutorials on using premiere, after effects, or photoshop 7 (in regards to "vectors" and "masks" and "whitebalance" and other words i don't know the meaning of)?
my friend has Final Cut Pro, he stole it from school version 2 & 3. Bunch of cd's. He had to buy a whole new computer for editing, his old one ran out of room. At least he saved big with the editing software. In a world of Guerrila film making- only chumps pay for sh*t.

A little question and you blow up? You must have been sheltered alot in your life to think I was being offensive... you have worse latitude than a cheap dv camera.
