Hey, I've got a pretty big problem here...

This guy gave me a VHS and told me to convert it to a quicktime file and then burn it to a CD, so he can use it on his computer. He doesn't have any of the capabilities to do this himself.

So I put the VHS onto my computer and then I realized it's wayyyyyyyy too big to be on one CD. It's way too big for like....15 CDs.

Is there any way I can burn the files onto a DVD (since it will hold a lot more stuff), and he can just take them off of the DVD and put them onto his computer?

CD's can be burned both for music and for file storage. Is this the same with DVDs?

Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks in advance.

well, you could always compress the video enough to fit on a CD. But obviously that's not the way you want to go.

Yeah, any DVD recording drive can make data dvds. Because DVD-Rs are only 80 cents each, that's how I backup all my projects (you can't beat 20 cents a gig storage). Any cd burning program (i.e. toast, easy-cd-creator) can also handle dvd-data burning. Just consult your manual or help files. But you're still gonna need 3-4 dvds
