For some reason, and this has been going on forever, whenever I put a song track into a video in FCP3, it blips, unexpectedly. It's pretty noticeable, and it will stay with the video through burning to DVDs and stuff.

Is there any way to stop this?

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like a compression/uploading/format problem. I've heard of that from several people. I've only had that happen once and I think it had to do with the computer doing something while I was printing to video... What format is your audio?

Your audio format is probably MP3. You can't use that format in FCP. Convert it to WAV or AIFF before importing it (you can use Quicktime Pro to convert it).

JW, thanks a lot. You've saved my video.

I have one more question though...

Sometimes, when I'm editing clips, the mouse/cursor thing will jump to the beginning or ending of a clip, making it easier to drag to certain areas. Sometimes, it doesn't do that. Why does it randomly cut off, and what can I do to make it happen again?

Thanks again.

Nevermind, I answered my own question...

It's called 'snapping' and all you have to do is press N to turn it on/off.
