You know that effect that allows multiple shots going on, but all of them appearing on one screen?

Umm... say when two people are speaking to eachother on the phone, and you can see both of them... from different cameras, in different rooms... like, split screen of both of them?

Jezz... that's the best description I can give, sorry.

Anywho, I know I found the effect once but I fail to find it again. Does anyone know what it's called?

its called split screen. the easiest way in FCP (i'm assuming Express is very similar) is this:

put the first clip on V1, put the second clip on V2. Adjust the second clip's cropping to either 50 left, 50 right, or 0/50, or whatever you want. (do that in the motion tab after double clicking) and then move it over untill it is centered. you can move the clip on V1 as well if you want, so a better portion shows through.

if you want a border, make a new track on V3 with a matte or solid in it (effects tab of the media bin) and crop that.

was that clear?

Well, I ended up doing something like that. I actually solved the problem PERFECTLY (very proud of myself, honestly) maybe 20 minutes after posting this, and honestly forgot to post that I no longer needed help.

So, thank you titaniumdonut... it may not really help me, but hopefully it helps someone else'ms.
