Hey Ya'll How you doing. I am just working on a wedding video on my mac here, and It is the first time I have used timecode to film a wedding (both XL2 integrated) Now here I am editing this wedding and as history would repeat itself there always has to be a problem when your on a deadline....ALWAYS! So here I am never having used time code, I import all my tapes and FCP seperates all the shots in the tapes for me into individual clips...very nice now I can browse through my clips in an organized manner, Levis Happy...But as levi goes on and starts plaing with multi cam he notices that when ever he tries to make a multi cam window he ends up with 50 windows..which consist of all the 50 clips final cut has CUT my two tapes into. Now all I want is two windows, each with one Cameras tape, So i can edit in real time. I was pausing and stopping during the wedding and Reception, So I was hoping that Final Cut could take the two seperate tapes and sync them up for me...not make 10 differnt multiclip sequences or 50 windows. Does anyone know How I can get just 2 windows? one for each camera angle (yes I labled my angles in FCP) Or can I just combine all the 50 clips from one tape into one clip...how do i do that?! How can I make this work!

I have no idea what you're asking.

For multiple cameras syncing audio?
How to digitize correctly in FCP?

He's saying he wants to synch for multi-cam editing, but the footage imported in dozens of short clips rather than a single clip from each tape.

I think you've got to reimport without the auto-scene break turned on.

I don't think anyone or thing is DUMB in this matter at all. What I think is that, there's a deadline and when dealing with deadlines, this is not the time to try something new. Now we have a problem! Of coarse you will have problems when it's your first time. I say, stick to what you know has worked in the past and get this project done a out of the way and then go back and try the new stuff, without deadlines.
