Does anyone here know how to edit in 5.1 surround sound. Apparently you can using Adobe Premier but I'm not too sure how?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

i frequently do it in Vegas 5+DVD. It's really easy as pie, however in Adobe I wouldn't know the first thing about it.

How do you do it in Vegas?
Do you assign stuff to the different speakers or click a 'surround sound' button and it does it for you?
I really just want to know what is invovled with creating s.s..
BTW how is Vegas compared to adobe?

in premiere open the audio mixer, and in the section below the filter plguins for the channel click on one of the downarrows. This is the submix section. A dial will pop up, and you can choose to mix front rear left right LFE etc for that channel.

with Vegas, you can basically pan it where ever you'd like.
Between Adobe and Vegas, I'd say Vegas is much easier at most things. 5.1 is probably one of them.
