Hi,

Maybe someone here can shed some light on a major problem i'm dealing with.

I'm using the local universities Avid XPress 3.5 suite to import my new footage, before I save it onto DVD-R discs.

Problem is, my sounds levels are all messed up. There's some serious peaking over the 0db(A) mark on the VU meter in Avid XPress 3.5

It's not a recording problem, as it played back fine on my video assist during filming. Also, my VHS copies are fine.

So, is there anything I can tweak in XPress or perhaps on the playback machine that'll fix this major headache?

Richard.
