I just finished my wedding video, and now I'm ready for export. I have 2 problems. 1. Whenever I export to my dv cam, the video is good but the audio is bad. It cuts in and out and the video is rendered and audio. 2. Since I'm not having good luck with the export to tape, I try to make a dvd of it. I have premiere pro. I try to export that to a dvd and my computer restarts during render/burning. I tried it in Pinnacle and Ulead Studio and the same thing happened. I need help! Anyone can help? Thanks

I'd export it to a DV-AVI, convert to MPEG2 with MainConcept or Tmpegenc, and author to DVD with Tmpeg DVD Author.

What are your system specs? That'll have a large bearing on what advice I can give you.

I have an E-Machine, AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2700+, 2.17GHz, 192 MB of RAM. A pop up comes up saying I am running low on virtual memory. Could that be the problem?

Yeah, that could be a big problem. You're running out of system resources, run adaware and enditall, and then try it. If that doesn't end up working, you need more RAM, or you need Vegas 5. Adobe Premiere and Ulead are two memory hogging programs. I recommend throwing a 512 chip in there.

I have your answer most likely. A low virtual memory message should never ever arise if you have never touched your virtual memory settings - it auto resizes itself to meet your needs unless you have disabled that (which i highly doubt.) So what does it mean? No HD space left. Have you put any DV captures on your c: drive? get em off of there. I would guess you have less than 1.5 GB left on your drive. Whats the deal, how many hd's do you have, internal or external, and whats left on c:?

I just finished a small 30 minute video for a child care center. Most of the parents want a dvd of the video. Well, like i said, i got a 512 chip and haven't messed with the memory settings. Everytime I go to export to a dvd in premiere pro, pinnacle, and mydvd, the computer shuts off. I have tried to burn a 5 minute segment from it and it burns, but it restarts the computer whenever I try to burn the whole 30 minutes. Any help?

I had the exact same problem as you! I have an amd athlon 2600+ 1gig of ram though. The problem is windows xp itself. If you downloaded the windows xp service pack 2 update, that's your problem. Try and track down windowsxp2 with service pack already installed, i did this and all my problems ie: re-booting and dvd errors etc. are all gone! works like a charm now! Wink
