This has been brought up several times latley, in a couple different threads. How do you make realistic gunfire when you dont have Hollywood money, or blank firing guns? One way, is to ues any descent looking toy gun, and add the soundFX, and draw in the muzzle flash in post.
The following article tells you hpw to acomplish this in Photoshop. I learned from this article, and have had fantastic results. I suggest you bookmark this page for future reffrence. This method takes time, and practice. I would suggest practicing on some still photographs to perfect your look, before you need it for a film. Be safe, ad good luck

I get pretty good results using AlamDV 2 (www.alamdv.com) and sounds from Counter-Strike.

Intresting. How did you lift the sounds from counter strike? Did they have a CD, or did you just record audio from the game?

if CS is installed, its right in the sounds folder.

quite easy...wav files.
