hi everyone, im a (very) amateur film maker, i'm filming a short film at the minute as a sort of self documentry where i've filmed my bedroom in absolute darkness with nothing but a torch going sound individual parts of my room that represent my life, such as photographs, guitars, things ive collected over the years and i want the final product to look as if it was recorded in the same way that films that show the exploration of shipwrecks look. i was just wondering is there any software out there that could do this for me? thanks
well, you'd want to start off by color correcting and tinting the footage to make it dark green or blue. then you might want a ripply sort of feeling (filter?), and some bubbles (filter or 3d graphics) rising upwards. the murkey effect would need to be done while you filmed with a dense fog. there's no easy way to add fog later because it needs to change density depending on distance.
what software DO you have? i'd say you need something along the lines of FCP or After Effects to do this properly.
