I came across this short film-animation, that all you aspiring visual effects artists might like... I did something like this once, but not nearly as extensive. Big Grin

Nice! I Hope that kid who does those L.O.T.A. seventy Act photocollages would check this out to see how stills can be made more interesting to look at. That's not a dig I like his compositions but he's taken the motion out of motion picture.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. As the "the kid' who did those vidoes, I watched the video and have to say that I would have loved to use that progaram in re-composting my artwork so it would make better movies.
I guess that the who cut-and-paste thing has overtaken me, and the whole act of putting the art together makes me not want to take them apart. Besides, I am more into the story telling end of using these collages to create an epic.
Yet, I find that it's not what you say--but how you say it, that is more important in an kind of story telling.
"Motion" cinema especially.

Hey glad you didn't take my comment too badly as I read it now I guess I was a bit of a prick. The sheer volume of composition and effort is to be commended!

Actually I'm from San Jose and was wondering how the SFstate cinema program is. Any overall comments? And are you in the undergrad or graduate program.

This will all make sense when I tell you but I am NOT a film major. I'm receiving my B.A. in American history this spring and continuing at SFSU for my M.A. in the fall.
From what I hear, SFSU's film program is the "little" darling of Lucas, Coppola, and Spielberg. They just put MILLIONS of dollars into the film and video facilies.
I heard that SFSU's film program used to be all theory based, with litle hands on training. But latley, I've been hearing good things about the film crews that come out of there: very professional and top-notch students.
I don't think a Lucas is going to come out of there--yet. But I do think that if someone wanted to hire a film crew that they should reruit on SFSU's campus.
Cheers,
JDM
