One of my friends made a commerical, and he got the movie forest gump, and where the part is at where he is shaking hands with the president, he somehow took out tom hanks literally and replaced his part with himself. How is this created? He is at NYU rite now and i can't get of hold of him. Any one know?

it'd be a HUGE job unless your friend completely covered tom hanks. it probably was done on blue screen or something and composited over tom with a few garbage mattes for the overlaps. i'd have to see it to better guess.
