I wanted to mess around with some clips from the Silent Hill movie in Final Cut Pro, but I'm having some problems. The VOB files from the rip work fine as quicktimes except they don't have any sound. There are some other files (two BUP's and two IFO's) but I'm not sure what those are or what I could use to open them. The program I used to rip the DVD was Mac The Ripper. Any ideas on why I'm not getting sound?

Usually (in my experience) when you rip VOB files and use quicktime, all you'll get is video. Try converting the VOB files into another format, then just work around with it (convert to an MPEG format, or DivX, then try moving it to quicktime). There are plenty of conversion programs for Macs.
