Freshman
Posted
I'm a freshman at the University of Texas at San Antonio under a coordinated admissions program with. Basically i applied to UT, but they sent me here for a year to make sure i can handle college. So i wanted to start sending the RTF professors examples of my work to better facilitate my admission to their school. The problem is with my film editing software. Alot of my grad presents were geared towards film I got a brand new camera from my sister, and my parents got me a suped up laptop. The only problem with that is its a Dell and cant support Final Cut. Well I was a little bummed, but i heard Avid was good so i tried to get it, but being a new laptop it came standard with Vista which isnt supported by Avid yet. So my question is should i wait it out on the chances that Avid gets a Vista supported software out in time. Or should i go with a lesser software like Adobe or Vegas now?
