Im not sure if this works with all editing software, but I use Avid. For music fades, I simply apply a dissolve, or fade, video effect to the audio track. Tada, music fades out. Try selecting only the audio track, and applying a fade to the end. Just tweak the duration to alter how sort the music fades out. Hope this helps. Good luck. R. Michael McWhorter
you can edit sound within your NLE using FCP, Premiere, or Xpress. Or, for more complex mixing, use a sound app such as Protools (free online) or Peak.
I like Peak because I use VST plug-ins to enhance sound and reduce noise.

I use premiere to edit sound. I can do some prety cool stuff with that, but im trying to get a feel for acid as well. I also have a friend who does composing, so he has all these huge programs that ive never heard of before.
