I'm still trying to export my video. And my computer shuts down everytime I render it. I am using dazzle150 video converter. I edit it in premiere pro and export to tape in pinnacle. And everytime I make an mpg, the computer restarts. Is there any alternate to export to video? does windows media player do anything like that?

is there any particular reason you are exporting out of pinnacle instead of directly out of premiere Pro? If you're just trying to take a priemere project and put it on a vhs tape, you can "print to tape" through a conversion box or video card to a vcr. (i use canopus advc100)

well, see, that's the problem...I got dazzle before I got premiere...and adobe doesn't let dvc150 work w/ premiere...and convertors are very expensive...and I don't have the time nor money.....so i've been exporting it out of premiere, importing it into pinnacle, then export it to tape. But pinnacle sucks and It messes it all up.

Hopefully someone with more experience in Pinnacle can help you out, because i'm useless. It could be your CPU overheating (unlikely), hardware/software conflict, or something as simple as a drivers problem. Try the forums here http://www.videohelp.com/forum/, they have alot of experience with video transfer and equipment.

On a side note, and i'm sure you know this, if you have firewire and a mini dv camera, you could export out of premiere onto the minidv tape, then export off the tape onto a vcr.

I have been known to do this. And it works quite well!

well, that's why I have the dvc150, because I don't have a DV camera. But I might rent one for cheap.
